Most residential electricity customers are on a single rate tariff, a single rate tariff means you’re charged the same rate for any electricity you use at any time of the day and during the year. Time of use tariffs have different rates depending on the time of day the power is used and some of these tariffs also have seasonal charges.
Tariff types displaying “CL” refer to a “Controlled Load” tariff, a controlled load tariff is a separately metered charge for a specific appliance, these can be for electric hot water systems, pool pumps or underfloor heating systems for example. Both single rate and time of use tariffs can also have a controlled load tariff.
If you have a bill close by you can check the charges section as this will normally show you a breakdown of your usage and tariff type.
